The Natural Fun of Clay - Shiwan kiln Pottery

The products of Shiwan kiln are generally called Shiwan Pottery. "Kwon- kiln" is another name for Shiwan kiln, which refers in particular to Shiwan kiln in Foshan, Guangdong Province. Shiwan kiln flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The main products of Shiwan kiln are daily utensils, writing accessories, archaistic vessels, furnishings, architectural pottery such as decorations for roof ridges and pottery in the shape of human figures and animals. Shiwan pottery developed its distinct characteristics and reached its heyday in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Due to its unique artistic style and great charm, Shiwan pottery won great popularity in Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces and became an important item of the export commodities in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. About 90 pieces/sets of relics were selected to show the artistic characteristics, craftsmanship and the development of Shiwan pottery
 

Exhibition Requirements
The exhibition space is about 500 ㎡ the exhibition route shall be 150 meters long.
Sealed showcases with constant temperature and humidity are required. The temperature shall be 20℃±2℃ and the humidity 65%±2%.
